First looks on your wedding day are something that I highly recommend incorporating into your wedding timeline! First, let’s get into what exactly wedding first looks are! A first look on your wedding day is an intimate moment between the bride and groom where they see each other before the wedding ceremony, versus the traditional first look when the bride walks down the aisle. Let’s get into why you should do a first look on your wedding day!

Intimate Moments With Your Soon-To-Be Spouse

When you do a first look, it allows for your first interaction of the day to be slow and intimate instead of you both seeing each other for the first time while walking down the aisle and having to immediately jump into the wedding ceremony. You both can take a moment to give each other compliments! It allows for those hugs, kisses, and sweet feelings of seeing each other in your wedding dress and suit!

Doing a first look before your wedding ceremony really allows you to spend time alone with no one else around. Your wedding day will most likely be jam-packed with others around, and you’ll rarely get time together with just the two of you! This is the perfect opportunity to add alone time into your wedding timeline!

More Wedding Photos | Wedding First Looks

Ok, who doesn’t want the option of having more wedding photos?! Having a first look allows for more flexibility in your timeline. If you see each other before the ceremony we can get all of your bride and groom portraits done, including the ones with your wedding party and family!

First looks will also allow you to actually be able to enjoy your cocktail hour and mingle with your wedding guests! We can even do additional portraits during golden hour for more photos of the two of you together. Plus, you’ll still have plenty of time to enjoy the party because all of your photos were taken earlier in the day!
