This day was an absolute dream! From the gorgeous views of the ocean in Big Sur to the awesome couple themselves. Everything was perfect. Courtney and Colin decided to have their beach engagement photos in Big Sur and they turned out STUNNING. This location in Big Sur was so fun to shoot at and we were able to make one location feel like multiple. Courtney and Colin have been together for a whole decade! So this engagement session was definitely long anticipated. They of course wanted to do something epic to finally celebrate their engagement and what better place than Big Sur. This is one of the couple’s favorite spots for a weekend getaway. They are always in the Monterey and Big Sur area so it was very fitting to do their session here for them. Incorporating a place that has meaning to you both is a great way to make your engagement photos super special. We ended the session with some playful rolling around in the sand and it was the perfect end to a perfect session. I absolutely CANNOT wait to kick off 2023 with their January wedding!

Big Sur is the perfect spot for romantic and playful beach engagement photos. There are so many different locations close to each other that make it super easy to get a lot of variety during your engagement session. You can go right down to the beach at Lover’s Point, Garrapata State Park will give you those gorgeous views of the entire shoreline, the Redwoods are close by, and Bixby Creek Bridge is another great option. There are trails everywhere and no two sessions would ever look the same with all these options for amazing photos. Big Sur is a great option for your romantic beachy photos!
